Sorry I was late posting to Blogger. Yesterday was a busy day for me. I had an internship interview with Six Flags and a Spanish project due. Hopefully I am still able to get credit for attendance.

2014 Chevy Commercial:
The commercial is definitely directed towards men. It has a bull in a cage being moved across town and playing a manly song as the theme of the commercial. Corporations know who to target when making ads and commercials. They targeted the male audience because it was a pickup truck, and that doesn't apply to many females. This is why most females don't see commercials like this because they mostly come on sport channels or channels that have a heavy male viewer rating.

Sugar article: http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/30/health/sugar-bad/
Pepsi Commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2smYVl0zrk
I was not surprised about any of the sugar information because I know it's bad for you. I know it's bad, but its hard to get away from it. Pretty much everything has sugar in it. I don't think that the government should control it because I would feel like its a dictatorship if they had control over how much sugar I can eat. Pepsi choose the right person to promote their brand because who doesn't know who Beyonce is these days, so if she drinks it why can't I drink it? I could see why they would tax sugar drinks because its killing your body and stuff like that. The theme of the commercial was good to get peoples attention because it showed empowerment and energy. It showed you can do anything you put your mind too and that's the reason why she was so full of energy because of the pepsi drink.

Evaluative Reflection
The article was interesting, but quite boring at the same time. It was very informational and I learned a few things from it. Typing the paper was somewhat difficult because I had to find quotes and connect how the the topic related to how I critical think. I need more help of how to do the quotes and APA style because I don't think I did it correctly. The first paper wasn't too bad, but I always see room for improvement for myself.

The ads over the years about dairy products have definitely changed. They have went from being so informational to more personal now. They want you to know that your favorite people drink milk too and that you should too. Less information is what grabs most Americans these days. I feel as if milk making has improved since first starting. New technology and things like that have improved and helped make the milk industry better.

Music Videos
Carrie Underwood: The song is referring to the relationship issues. She is criticizing her boyfriend who cheats. This video empowers woman to not let their men cheat on them. It has a good chorus that can be catchy. I've known her to be a good girl and this video makes her edgy and tough. She shows a different side of her in this video.
Miley Cyrus: The song is referring to relationship issues as well. She is criticizing who ever wrecked her heart in the past. The video doesn't really have an empowerment for women. It's more visual because she is wrecking walls and swinging on a wreck ball. She is very controversial which is going to keep her relevant. The video has a different message, Miley is smart.
